Synopsis: Biographical/Historical Drama. Solomon, an accomplished violinist living as a free man in New York is tricked into joining a travelling show and is then brutally abducted and sold as a slave. His comparatively benevolent first owner Ford sells him to the abusive and demented plantation owner Epps, who subjects Solomon and his fellow slaves to escalating bouts of violence.
